How easy it is to prune large flowered hybrid clematis.

This American You Tube video shows how to prune Group 3 clematis. We use the same method in the garden and nursery for pruning all clematis in pruning group 2 & 3. 

We prune all our clematis using exactly this method (except a little lower) three times per year. Remember to always feed your clematis straight after pruning. It generally takes between six and eight weeks for the clematis to be back in flower, except after the winter pruning when they are in their dormant phase.

 It is not very technical, so sit back and enjoy this short video.

Note:  When the video says flowering in July, it is flowering in December / January in the southern hemisphere.
