Symptoms: Flowers go brown at the edges.

Cause: Plague Thrips

Description: Flowers go brown starting at the edges, especially in pale coloured varieties.  On close inspection, small elongated insects about 2mm long can be seen busily running around.

Remedy: Rain usually stops  these pests.  Plague Thrips affect a large range of light coloured flowers.
